Led Practice supports and guides yoga students who are ready to explore yoga more deeply.
It also connects you with an encouraging friendly community of like-minded practitioners. The value and the effect is hard to overstate.

The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali is the foundational text for yoga philosophy and principles. Around 2000 years ago Patanjali laid out pathways to attain freedom from the suffering that is part of the  human condition. He described a methodical and accessible Path of Action, comprised of three aspects: Practice, Reflection and Surrender.

Led Practice is led by a teacher-trainee or an experienced student.
Leaders do the practice with the group, providing visual reminders of the poses you are already familiar with from class, call the names of the poses and when to change sides. You follow and make any modifications as  you do in class. You might take an extra cushion, a higher or lower brick, or do an alternative pose if needed.
As there is no instruction in how to do the poses, you might uncover some gaps in understanding which may spark your curiosity and inspire you to listen more closely when in class next, or ask another participant what they do over coffee after practice.
Without instruction the room is quiet, there can be a sense of spaciousness whilst you practice and reflection becomes possible.

There are 5 sequences which are repeated each term. Over time with repetition these become familiar and the perspective is inevitably changed. You do the same thing, but your experience is not the same.

After at least one full term participating in Led Practice, those who are keen and motivated to develop their own practice can submit an expression of Interest to lead. You will be given an induction, with materials and support provided.
Leaders are not expected to perform "perfect" poses but to work at their capacity using props as needed

Regular class attendance is a prerequisite.
